### Summary

This positions is located at Anniston Army Depot, Morale Welfare Recreation, Recycling Center.

### Responsibilities
* This position is established to operate one or more types of engineering and construction equipment such as bulldozer, front end loader, tractor with pan or scraper attachments, and more.
* Employee will perform operators maintenance on equipment operated, cleans equipment, and reports mechanical defects.
* Operator clears brush, tree stumps, and rocks; adjusts the attachments for proper level, angle, or depth, according to the work to be done and the type of equipment being operated.
* Operates one or more types of equipment to push, pull, pile, or load materials such as sand, gravel, earth, scrap wood or refuse.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

* Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, to include a National Agency Check (NAC)
* A one year probationary period may be required
* Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check
* Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty
* The employee is subject to the provisions of the federal Workplace Drug Testing Program(s)
* The employee will be required to successfully pass physical examinations as required by Federal and Office of Safety and Occupational Health Administration guides
### Qualifications
* Demonstrated work experience directly related to the duties to be performed as identified above to include the listed knowledge skills and abilities.
* The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Federal Commercial Driver's License (Class A) and any installation and/or DOD license required for the type vehicle being operated.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of the uses of the different sets of controls or operation of the equipment and attachments and be skilled in handling these controls to perform the work at hand. Good hand, foot, and eye coordination is required due to frequent handling of different controls at the same time. Skill to operate and manipulate controls for starting, stopping, backing and driving the vehicle, read and follow printed signs and informational items related to safe operation and control of the vehicle, complete reports and forms, and perform tasks such as check the fluid and air pressure levels using gages and dials. Basic knowledge of the nature of the soil and features of the terrain to determine the proper approach according to the conditions of the surface and subsurface. Ability to move equipment about in confined areas.
